Hot

Eleven-thirty at night—you'd think it'd cool off. The only downside of our lovely house is that it has radiator heat, so installing central air would be prohibitively expensive. We've put a window air-conditioner in the upstairs sun-porch so that it and our two bedrooms will be cool, but in the rest of the house we must make do with open windows and fans. It's bloody hot. Hot I say. I'm going to have to go upstairs and hide in the air-conditioning, maybe read a book; I cannot stay down here at the computer right now. I'll try again later.

Anyway, i found you because i read your fabulous "bio" on Steven Karl Zoltan Brust. thank you very much for that. Delightful!!! The read was as delightful as meeting him in person. wonderful hilarity!

btw, whens the next Science Fiction Convention? i tried briefly to find it on the web but couldn't... i'll have to try harder, i spose. but are there many? what is the major one?
