Gavriella's Poem

My daughter, Gavi, wrote this poem a few days ago. I must admit that I am impressed.

Alchemy’s Daughter

She is alchemy’s daughter.
Her hair is of gold,
Her eyes are of silver,
Her skin is of copper.
She is alchemy’s daughter,
And she has a heart of lead.

Wow, that's cool. Short but quite powerful.

Gavi's poem
I, too, am impressed. I have been in the same room with your daughter a good number of times, but she has always been so silent when I'm around that I can't claim to know her as a person at all. So I hadn't a clue that she would ever turn out something like this. Well done, Gavi! And Fred, thanks for posting it.

Indeed, yes!

Although now I'm going to have "Pick a Little, Talk a Little" stuck in my head *all afternoon.*

That is really good. I'm not easily impressed by poetry, but I too have to admit I'm impressed.

I like that. Nice upside-the-head effect of the last line. It gives it a feeling of narrative without being narrative poetry, per se.
