A funny thing happened to me on the way to ConFusion....

“I have an idea!” I said. “I’ll take the train to ConFusion,” I said. “I’ll be able to get up and walk around,” I said. “It will be fun!”

“I am a clever boy,” I thought as I made my reservations and bought my tickets. Minneapolis to Detroit with a transfer in Chicago. Leave Minneapolis after work around 7am, arrive in Detroit just after midnight—I'll be able to relax and read on the train, walk around, maybe even catch some sleep. Most satisfactory.

So what the Sam Hill was I doing on a full, mother-loving bus to, of all places, Milwaukee, singing “The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round…” with seven of my equally-crazed friends? That’s what I want to know …
