Saint Louiscon & Sydney Harbour

Okay, so now I've got my photos from Saint Louiscon (The 27th World Science Fiction Convention, Labor Day weekend 1969) and Sydney Harbour at Night (July, 1999), which were previously up at ClubPhoto, posted to ImageEvent.

Cool St. Louis images. Do you have a picture of the infamous torn movie screen?

Not as such. It's the amazing whiteness in the background that caused the horrendous contrast and exposure problems* in items 35-42, but I think those were taken before it was torn.

*I'd know how to compensate for it these days, but these were among the first rolls I took with my first 35mm camera.

May I say that I am thoroughly enjoying these photographs. Ah, memories. Not to mention living vicariously through your lens, in the case of some of the people (Ellison, Simak, et al) I've not met.

Thank you! Memories indeed. I'll keep in mind your comment about people you've not met—it will be helpful because I tend to go all maudlin when I see these and other rolls with my photos of Clifford, Gordy, Lester del Rey, Jack Gaughn, Leigh Couch, Ray Fisher, and far too many other fine and wonderful people who are no longer with us, may their memory be a blessing.
