Bummer

There seems to have been a failure to communicate. Turns out this job is totally non-technical. Worse still, it's about as mind-rottingly boring as they come. Fortunately the supervisor(s) and other temps are nice folks — that'll keep it tolerable. And, you know, what the heck. It's work. It needs to be done. They'll pay me. These things happen. Life's like that. Could be worse. This, too, shall pass.

Etc.

Disappointment shared.

Fingers crossed for better opportunities ahead, and best wishes for enduring the boredom of the next couple of months. (I hope they see your considerable skills and turn you loose on more.)

Mind-numbing work is better than no work. Too bad though, it sounded so cool yesterday. One of the things about temp work like this though, is that it can lead to more permanent things. So keep an eye and ear open for other opportunities in the company (assuming it seems like a decent place to work).

Sometimes shit happening is actually better than shit not happening.
