Kvelling

As many of you know, our daughter, Gavriella, is in the 8th grade this year (and, yes, it does seem like just last week we were taking her to her first day of kindergarten). We recently received an email from her English teacher which I simply had to share with you:

I want to thank Gavi for sharing her love of reading in class. She has already read two of the independent reading books (one book from the list is required per trimester). Yesterday I asked her to share a bit about Briar Rose. I was touched by her explanation of the novel; she was obviously moved by the plot and made that apparent in her delivery. Gavi has inspired others in the class not only to choose that book, but to read more frequently. Thank you, Gavi!

(And she didn't even mention that Auntie Jane is a friend of ours…!)
