Watta woil, watta woil*

When I was growing up, cigarettes and liquor were regularly advertised on TV. (Although I must say that it was a long time ago—it even startles me when I see a clip of an old ad with Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble lighting up and talking about the rich, smooth flavor of their cigarettes….)

Today, here in the Technical Vastness of the Future, we're enlightened and we know better than to allow such things—we've made it illegal to advertise cigarettes and liquor on TV. I reckon this is a good thing. Time marches on, and progress is made. Nowadays we advertise drugs on TV…

*As Krazy Kat was wont to say.
