Fly, monkeys, fly!

I took an online MBTI a couple of weeks ago and came up ENFJ.

Tonight, it's ESTJ. The two test sites reported the percentages differently enough that I find it difficult to compare them. My best guess puts the Sensing/iNtuitive and Thinking/Feeling swings in the unlikely range (more than 20% difference in results between the two tests).

So, much as I might like to think of myself as a "pillar of strength," my overall reading is that the online MBTI tests, uh, leave something to be desired. Except for those of us who enjoy watching monkeys fly.

I took the MBTI years and years ago, back when I worked for NCS Professional Assessment Services. Don't remember my results from then, but I'm fairly certain the full MBTI is longer than 48 questions. A quick online search turns up a 93-question version, and other non-clinical personality type assessment products that I am familiar with run 100-200+ questions. I suspect that the shorter versions are more prone to error.
