Thank you, Fred, for posting this quote and that photo from one of the political heroes of my youth, Hubert Humphrey. (The others were RFK, Eugene McCarthy, and Mondale. I'm not a Minnesota liberal, am I?)

I still say that if Humphrey had come out against the war even ten days sooner in ’68, he'd have been President.
