Not fair!

Just when you think you’ve maybe sort of started to figure out how to do this “social interaction” stuff, you discover that for all this time your company has been, at best, tolerated—not enjoyed. *sigh*

The only part we tolerate about social interactions with you is their (in)frequency. We always enjoy our not-frequent-enough social interactions with you.

Anyone who just tolerates your presence is an utter fool and not worth your time anyway. I am now outraged that someone made you feel that way.

I concur with davidschroth's message too. I FULLY enjoy our so very infrequent times in the same air space and wish they happened way more often.

Sorry, who did you say needs the slap-around?

Well, I enjoyed your company less than a week ago, and I strongly doubt that I was alone in that.

For all this time? I highly doubt it. Perhaps by one individual. That's not, so far as I can tell, a widely held opinion; many of us wish all three of you got out more (or to more events I'm at, anyway).

Yet another expression on how your company is a pleasure, not a burden.
Haniahaniaw on August 6th, 2008 02:11 pm (UTC)
Your presence - whether in writing, in pictures, through music or just generally being in the room - is always appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. It's just not frequent enough!

Yeah, some people don't appreciate fine scotch either.

No accounting for taste.

What a silly discovery. Next time, try discovering something truer.

I've enjoyed your company every time I've seen you over the last 35 years.

Wait -- you mean you're not cool? Jeez, I'm so mixed up now.

I find that statement difficult to believe when it pertains to you. There is no accounting for taste I guess.

Perhaps someone meant it tongue in cheek or, like me, inadvertently drops words from their writing, having thought them but forgetting to get them on the paper thereby chanaging the meaning of their sentence/paragraph/thought.

Just to echo everyone else's sentiment...

you're often what makes work even tolerable! Hell with whoever it is. Come visit me instead.

Well, yeah, perhaps for some people. Others of us wish you lived nearer, or we saw each other more often, and have pleasant memories of every single encounter we've had with you. You might want to hold that truth in your hand at the same time that you're holding this other statement, which I think is, proportionately much less true.

I bet if you held a vote of all the people you socialize with, this would be a severly minority position. I enjoy the time I spend with you. I always worry if you'll tolerate me. :-)

I think I'd enjoy your company, Fred. You don't seem the sort of person to just tolerate.
