Home from party
A lovely little party with music it was. Not a lot of people there, but I think in this case it's what made it extra-special and nice. One person played who I've never hear play before and was quite impressively wonderful … and who probably wouldn't have played had there been more people there. Another played who rarely does and that was wonderful as well. And, of course, I was there and didn't have to be coaxed. Unfortunately I don't have enough … subdued? relaxed? laid-back? … songs in my repertoire so there were occasions when I had to break the mood even though the mood was in no way going to break me. My thanks and appreciation to the host and helper and all my fellow attendees/participants. It was way nice.

I keep wanting to attend parties at this person's home, but stuff keeps coming up. I have a fill-in gig tonight with a band I have never gigged or rehearsed with and spent last night working on their material (and I don't have anywhere near the memory I used to, though my ear is still good). It feels like stressful times. Maybe next time (but I keep saying that). I do find myself wondering who the two players are, who don't play all that often.

A very enjoyable time. It felt very good.

I'm so glad your life has come around in such a way that you're back here (hope you are too!). Can't tell you why, but I've been getting an extra-fuzzy-nice feeling when I see you at parties these days. Perhaps you simply radiate "Ford's in his flivver and all's right with the world" or something.

Yes, I am glad to be back. To me, there is something very comforting about the music, particularly in a setting such as that. As I mentioned to Tesla as I was leaving, I really really missed it when I was gone.

To me its a wonderful part life around here and something I enjoy a whole lot, so perhaps l radiate some sign of that, even if its in a quiet sort of way.
