A Photo from Itasca State Park

Boardwalk to Norway Pine Boardwalk to Norway Pine

In Itasca State Park in northern Minnesota. This is a boardwalk leading to what is described as "Largest Red Pine." The red pine, by the way, is also known as Norway pine. I'm not at all sure I can take much credit for this image—I reckon most of the credit belongs to the people who designed and built the very attractive walkway. Oh, so very beautiful and evocative--the path curving out of sight makes me long to follow it out of the photo. Much quiet drama. Thank you!

Thanks. I seem to be on a roll, 'cause I spent much of the weekend looking through scans and thinking about which ones I want to select and Photoshop and post next. So I suspect I will keep them coming for a while. I appreciate the encouragement.

I love the shadows in the foreground. There is so much depth in this one. It's not only a beautiful walkway, but you captured it in an amazing way! Big kudos.
