Finding unseen messages

I'm in the process of switching my email handling over from Eudora to Apple's Mail program, and I was intrigued to discover that when Mail is checking to see if there's anything new on the mailserver, its Activity Viewer (when I choose to have it open) first displays: "Finding unseen messages." I really enjoy feeling that soon—very soon—Ancient Eldritch Knowledge in the form of Messages from the Unseen will be Imparted unto me.

Ah, is good then. Did you get the mailbox issue solved?

The original issue of how to transfer from Eudora? As I recently commented to minnehaha B., there's this nice donation-ware program available. Or do you mean my new issue of getting the messages I received in the interim back to Eudora? That one should be relatively simple—each Eudora "mailbox" is just a text document with a bit of special head added above each mail head. It'll be easy enough to save the messages in raw text format from Mail and then reproduce the Eudora "new message starts here" signifier. It's not like there were all that many messages in the past, what?, month or two?

Sorry, I'm a bit behind on this thread - I only get replies to my comments in email, and failed to review your progress and other comments. It sounds like you're doing okay. Since I haven't used Eudora in years, I probably wouldn't have been much help anyhow. Good luck!
